“Illegitimi non carborundum”
— Don't let the bastards grind you down

I am a decorated Navy veteran of two combat deployments, and a young and dynamic leader. I battled my way out of poverty into the highest levels of society. To get here, I survived violence, domestic abuse, and discrimination, and become one of the extremely few in our nation today to not just escape poverty, but to earn admission to a world-caliber university.

I have continuously held leadership positions since I was 19 years old, and have won numerous awards for academic, creative, and military service.

I did what is out of reach for so many today. I achieved the American Dream.

But that isn't good enough. I know the struggle, and how few get this result in life. So I left that behind and returned to my home, North Orange County, to once again serve you - and our community.

Some brief background: I enlisted in the Navy straight after high school, against my mother's wishes. While there, I was top of my class in six consecutive technical schools, earned meritorious promotions, became an expert electronics technician, and one of the best Electronic Warfare specialists in the entire Western Fleet.

Realizing if I wanted to help service members I was more useful outside of a uniform, I went to college. I was proud to serve as the President of the Associated Students of Fullerton College, and win awards for best creative writing, publish undergraduate research in mathematics, be awarded Outstanding Service to the College, and earn the Frank Palko Award for my Humanitarian efforts, among others.

In 2016, I was one of 75 students in the US to earn the prestigious $40,000 Jack Kent Cooke scholarship, and went on to study Political Economy at UC Berkeley.

I believe in hard work and action oriented leadership from the front - not from behind, or from behind a desk.

I believe in solving problems and taking responsibility for failures.

Most importantly, I believe in helping folks.

Before you discount me and this campaign, be warned: everything I have ever accomplished was done as the underdog. You won't be the first person to tell me my goals are impossible, and you won't be the first person to have been proven wrong.

I guarantee you I am the toughest and hardest working person in this race, and I further promise that if you send me to DC, I will bring that dogged and surly attitude to the House of Representatives.

And make no mistake - this is a fight. A fight for sensible and responsible government, and to change the very nature of politics. To get things done instead of sitting around making excuses.

I know it's hard today to believe good things can happen in government right now, but belief is the first step on the path to action. It is when times are hardest that we most need to believe in the possibility of good, and it is similarly important to remember that optimism requires strength - spiritual, emotional, and mental strength.

That is why today, right now, I invite you to join me in this fight.

To get started, just click below.

My Naval Service

I completed two deployments to combat zones aboard the USS Mobile Bay, a guided missile cruiser. I was an Electronic Warfare Specialist as well as technician: someone who conducted tactical operations as well as supporting the mission in repairing and maintaining sophisticated Information Warfare equipment.

(p.s. that's really my ship)

Impact leadership

Talk is cheap, and I prefer action. America has a congressional deficit in leadership, and I there is a critical difference between 'management' and 'leadership'. My entire adult life has been spent in true leadership roles, and organizing teams of talented people into accomplishing real results.

Policy Platform

I will fight for a more fair and just society, and will never betray the trust of regular Americans. Why? I am one of them. Not a millionaire, not someone born with a silver spoon in their mouth. I will not, and can not, forget the people who are most impacted by bad governance - people just like my family, and myself as a child.
